The OpenFurther initiative has a opening for a senior software engineer to spearhead the engineering of the platform. This position at the University of Utah is funded through the Biomedical Informatics Core in the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences. Senior java enterprise software engineer will maintain and develop the OpenFurther open source code base and implement the core instance run at the U of U Center for Clinical and Translational Science Biomedical Informatics Core (BMIC).
You would work with engineering team in the BMIC to integrate data federation technologies such as OpenFurther (openfurther.org), data management tools and process tracking software with related projects maintained by the BMIC and with external collaborators.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have experience with Java enterprise architecture and systems. Must have demonstrated experience with Spring, OSGI (Apache Karaf), JPA (Hibernate), Integration frameworks (Apache Camel), JAXB (Apache CXF) and ESB (Apache ServiceMix), VCS (git), Build and CI tools (Maven, Bamboo), testing (JUnit, Spock.)
